SWAC VOLLEYBALL SHOWDOWN TONIGHT ON ESPNU

vs.

Alabama A&M vs. Jackson State
T. B. Ellis Physically Education Center
Jackson, Mississippi

What's at stake
Two-time defending champion Alabama A&M, the leader in the East, plays at second-place Jackson State at 6 p.m. The teams are two games ahead of the rest of the division and the winner will have substantial momentum heading into the home stretch of the regular season.

The season series
Just last Friday, the teams battled in an epic five-set thriller. J-State won the first two sets 25-20 and 29-27 and appeared to be on its way to a road sweep. However, in classic champion fashion, the Bulldogs rallied to win the final three sets 25-22, 25-19, and 15-12 to claim the 3-2 victory. Clarissa Moore tied an AAMU school record with 32 kills in the match. JSU was led by Ebonee Dawson and Brittany Larkin, who each had 21 kills.

If Jackson State wins...
the Lady Tigers can tie Alabama A & M for first place in the eastern division. Jackson State would have the opportunity to control their own destiny in terms of tournament seeding.

If Alabama A&M wins...
the Lady Bulldogs will have a two game lead in the eastern division and the inside track to the top seed in the SWAC tournament.
