Game 6: Arkansas-Pine Bluff Gets 1-0 Win over Jackson State; Set to take on PVAM in Championship Match

Final stats

SWAC Offensive Player of the Year Jade West scored the lone goal in the match to help solidify a 1-0 victory for Arkansas-Pine Bluff and a spot in the championship match.

West's goal came at the 39:02 minute mark in the first half. Shannon Ellis assisted the score that would prove to be the game-winning goal.

Second-team All-SWAC goalkeeper Chelsea Klein had eight saves in the game while recording her eighth shutout of the season.

With the win the #2 ranked Arkansas-Pine Bluff will face the #3 ranked Prairie View A&M in Sunday's Championship match at 1 p.m.

Game 5: Prairie View A&M Edges Grambling State 2-1; Claims a spot in the Title Match

Final stats

The #3 ranked Prairie View A&M upset the #1 seed Grambling State in a tight 2-1 match on Friday.

The Lady Panthers got on the board first when Yosselyn Aguilar connected on an unassisted goal from 30 yards out. PVAM's Abigail Escobar would follow up with a goal at the 35:35 minute mark off an assist from Marissa Woods, putting the Lady Panthers up 2-0.

With just 25 seconds remaining in the first half the Lady Tigers' Kelsie Sherfield broke away down the middle of field and found the back of the goal, putting the halftime score at 2-1.

Although full of action, the second half wouldn't see a goal as the Lady Panthers held on for the 2-1 victory and a place in Sunday's title match.
