BIRMINGHAM - The Southwestern Athletic Conference has officially announced the dates and locations of the 2009 Golf and Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

The 2009 SWAC Men's and Women's Golf Championship will be held at Links on the Bayou in Alexandria, LA. The event is scheduled for Sunday, April 19 - Wednesday, April 22. The women of Texas Southern and the men of Jackson State will be looking to defend their 2008 titles.

Texas Southern University in Houston, TX will be the site of the 2009 SWAC Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship. The event will take place from Friday, May 1 - Sunday, May 3 at the Alexander Durley Sports Complex. The Lady Tigers of Jackson State and the Panthers of Prairie View A&M captured the 2008 SWAC titles and will try to make it back -to-back Championships for their schools.

Softball - April 22-26, 2009 - Timberton Softball Complex - Hattiesburg, MS

Outdoor Track & Field - May 1 -3, 2009 - Alexander Durley Sports Complex - Houston, TX

Baseball - May 20-24, 2009 - Lee-Hines Field - Baton Rouge, LA
