Univ. Arkansas-Pine Bluff student – athlete Monique Carroll recently participated in the NCAA Convention in Washington, DC.

Carroll, a senior from New Boston, Texas, is a secondary health and physical education recreation major. She is the secretary for the conference level SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) and is the Conference’s national representative on the Division I Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

The purpose of SAAC is to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student-athlete welfare and fostering a positive student-athlete image. SAAC members get to vote on actual NCAA propositions presented at conventions, at which Carroll was the SWAC representative.

Carroll is a four-sport athlete at UAPB, competing on the volleyball, bowling, and indoor and outdoor track teams.
