SWAC schools Jackson State, Prairie View A&M, Southern and Texas Southern were among more than a dozen women's and mens teams that competed in the Leonard Hilton Memorial Indoor Track Meet at the University of Houston.

Conferences reps earned a pair of first-place finishes on the men's side. In the 400m dash, Leon Citizen of Southern won with a time of 49.15 seconds. Also the 4x400m relay team from Jackson State won in a time of 3:18.15.
