The Southwestern Athletic conference has announced its Cross Country winners of the week. They are:

WOMEN

Karla Atencio, Univ. of Arkansas-Pine Bluff; 5-4, FR; Chula Vista, CA

Atencio finished first out of 31 runners at the Delta State Invitational in Cleveland, Mississippi last weekend.

Her time of 18:56.82 helped propel the Lady Lions team to a first place finish at the race, which included 24 teams.

MEN'S

Robert Gunn, Alabama State; 6-0, SR; Detroit, MI

Gunn placed third out of 59 total runners last week at the Earl Jacoby Memorial Invitational. He registered a time of 26:15 in the 8K race at the University of Alabama-Huntsville.

The Hornets finished second out of seven teams at the race.
