Prairie View A&M's Jason Mitchell will compete in the 2009 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships this week in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Mitchell qualified for the championship meet during the Mid-West regionals in Norman, OK two weeks ago. The senior clocked a 50.99 time in 400 meter hurdles event to solidify his spot at the national meet.

The 2009 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships will take place June 10 - 13 at University of Arkansas' John McDonnell Field.
