• The 2009 Farmers Insurance SWAC Football Championship Game matchup will be determined Saturday as the Eastern Division Champion will be decided this week on the final Saturday before Thanksgiving.

• Alabama A&M can clinch the East title for the first time since 2006 with a home win over Mississippi Valley State. The Bulldogs regained control of their own destiny last week with a win over two-time defending division champ Jackson State and Alcorn State's loss to Prairie View A&M.

• Alcorn State and Jackson State renew their rivalry in the Capital City Classic with their eye on a possible division crown. Each team must win and have Alabama A&M lose to earn a SWAC Championship Game berth.

• The 2009 Western Division Champion Prairie View A&M Panthers will look to become the second consecutive West division champ and just the fifth division champ since the inception of the SWAC Championship Game in 1999 to go undefeated in Conference play when they host Univ. Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

• Four teams have open dates this week - Alabama State, Grambling State, Southern and Texas Southern. All four teams will return to action Thanksgiving Weekend.
