Two SWAC players have been nominated for the Heritage Sports Radio Network's national player of the week awards.

Fans across the country can cast their vote for who they think had the top performance by visiting HSRN.com today through 6pm (CST) Wednesday, February 10. HSRN covers the CIAA, MEAC, SIAC, SWAC and Independents.

The SWAC nominees are:

NCAA Division I women
Latara Darrett - Prairie View (G, 5'10, Jr., Chino, CA) - Scored double-double in two games, leading the Lady Panthers to a 2-0 week. She averaged 25 points and 13 rebounds in wins over Texas Southern (58-49) and Alabama St. (58-49). Her big game was against ASU, scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and four steals.

NCAA Division I men
Garrison Johnson - Jackson State (G, 6'5, 190, Sr., Smyrna, GA) Led Tigers to a 2-0 week averaging 22 points and five rebounds. In 72-67 win over Arkansas Pine Bluff he finished with 17 points and six rebounds and in their 85-64 win over Alcorn, he had 27 points and four rebounds.
