Esha Hand joined the Southwestern Athletic Conference full time in October, 2007. She oversees all championships while coordinating student-athlete services - which include serving as the liaison for the CHAMPS/Life Skills Program and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) - and general office and administrative duties.
The Cleveland, Ohio, native is a 2006 graduate of Grambling State University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with studies in Sport Management.
She previously worked in the Conference Office as an intern at the Birmingham-based office during the 2005 academic year. During her stay, she assisted with school and athlete compliance as well as with event coordination, including the 2006 SWAC Basketball Tournament.
In 2007, she was an event intern with ESPN Regional Television (ERT) in Charlotte, where she assisted with the daily operations and planning for the 2007 MEAC/SWAC Challenge. She also was responsible for some of the daily operations at ERT in the marketing and financial areas.
