Raheem DeVaughn at the SWAC Tournament

Already compared to legends like Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield and Barry White, Raheem DeVaughn will bring his unparralled combination of soul and style to the 2010 Famers Insurance SWAC Basketball Tounament. The multi-Grammy nominated songwriter, producer and artist will headline "A Romantic Night with Raheem DeVaughn" on Friday, March 12 at the Horseshoe Casino Riverdome. Only a limited number of tickets will be sold. They are $25 each will go on sale on Friday, February 26 at the following locations in the Shreveport area:  Brothers Seafood, JJ's Music Store, Lakeshore All-Around Sound, Tight Edge Barber Shop, First Class Beauty Salon and Heard's Beauty Supply. Inside the 2010 Farmers Insurance SWAC Tournament

 

After the 18 game conference schedule is completed, the top eight men's and women's teams in the final regular season standings advance to the tournament. The teams are seeded based on those standings, with the regular season champion being the top seed.

The tournament begins on Wednesday, March 10 at noon, with alternating women's and men's quarterfinal games through the end of play of on Thursday, March 11. Two women's and two men's semifinal games will be played on Friday, March 12 and the winners advance to the finals. The SWAC Championship games will be played on Saturday, March 13 and broadcasted on ESPNU. The women will tip off at 5pm and the men will follow at 7:30 pm.
