Five of the 10 all-SWAC finishers from last year's women's golf championships return as the 2012 league tournament gets underway on Monday at Links on the Bayou Golf Course in Alexandria, La.

Alabama State won its first-ever SWAC title in golf in 2011, and while the Hornets are rebuilding in 2012, they are led by Danielle Robinson, who finished in the top 10 a year ago to earn all-conference honors.

Jackson State is the top seed entering this year's tournament. The Tigers are led by Erica Payton and Cammryn Stith, who finished 3rd and 5th overall last year at the same championship course.

Texas Southern also returns a pair of all-conference talents to the 2012 tournament in Shanequa Valentine and Tyler Lawrence.

Play begins at 9:00 a.m. on Monday and concludes Tuesday in the 36-hole event for the women.
