Birmingham, Ala. - NCAA Baseball Division I Bracket

Alcorn State will make its first appearance in an NCAA Baseball Tournament on Friday at Rice. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m. The Owls are the #8 overall seed and will be hosting the regional at Reckling Park, along with Baylor and California. The Braves won their first SWAC title in school history last week and earned the automatic berth into the national championship tournament, which culminates with the College World Series in Omaha, Neb. from June 18-29.

Alcorn State joins two other teams as first-time participants in the NCAA Tournament -- Belmont and Arkansas-Little Rock.
