Hilltopper Relays (Western Kentucky)
Alabama A&M

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Alabama A&M's 4x400m relay team -- Alex Ward, Tre Williams, Joshua Napier and Amir Ali -- clocked a 3:20.66 to win during the Western Kentucky Hilltopper Relays this past weekend.

Ward also finished third in the 400m hurdles with a time of 53.03. Donald Weakley took fourth in the 100m dash, clocking in at 10.77.

The Bulldogs' 4x100m relay team was fifth (41.67).

On the women's side, Terion Davis posted a 58.51-second result on her way to fourth place in the women's 400m dash. Alexia Wilson (13:01.18) finished fifth in the 3000m Steeplechase. The Lady Bulldogs took second in the 4x100m relay (47.99).

In field events, Samia Liverpool tied for second in the high jump (1.55m), and Alexis Lucas (40.46m) earned fifth in the discus throw.

WACO, Texas - Texas Southern's Tevin Kimble (13.86m) took second in the triple jump during the Baylor Invitational Saturday at the Clyde Hart Track and Field Stadium.

Also in field events, Terrell Perry (46.69m) earned fifth place in the hammer throw.

In track competition, Maliek Kendall clocked in with a 14.80-second result for third place in the 110m hurdles. The Tigers' 4x100m relay team finished second with a time of 42.85, and the 4x400m relay unit took home fourth place (3:23.63).

For Texas Southern's women,  the Lady Tigers finished second in the 4x100m relay (48.58), and was fifth in the 4x400m relay (4:38.29).

Quintella Johnson took sixth in the high jump (1.58m)

Due to the weather conditions only a limited number of Prairie View A&M athletes competed in the event. On the women’s side, Ja’Sha Sloan placed sixth in the high jump, after jumping a 1.58m (5’2.25). JoAnna Benavidez managed to place 17th overall in the 1,500m run with a time of 5:16.84, along with Alysse Grogan, who placed 20th overall running a 5:27.70.

In the 100m hurdles, Dominique Ellis ran a career best of 15.62 as she finished 14th overall. Dinah Murphy placed eighth running a 2:21.22 in the 800m, while Husniyyah Rogers placed 13th running a 2:25.52.

On the men’s side, Henry Brown placed third in high jump, with a mark of 6-02.75 (1.90m). TSU's Taylor Levine (1.90m) was fourth. While in the 1,500 meters, PVAMU's Levante Williams placed 12th after running 4:17. Logan Williams grabbed a second-place finish in the 110 hurdles as he ran 14.64. Darwin Allen placed 10th in the 800 meters running 2:03.

In the field events Devin Jefferson placed 12th in the men’s discus throw with a mark of 38.84m (127’5”).

LAKE CHARLES, La. - Breanna Wayne highlighted the day for the Grambling State men’s and women’s track and field teams by winning the triple jump with a leap of 11.10m and also placed second in the 110m hurdles, with a time of 14.85. The 110m hurdles were won by Alcorn State’s DeKari Courtney (14.60). In the discus, Aneisha Bell captured second, with a toss of 37.57m, while teammate Furqani Al-Amin took fourth at 35.15.

In other track events, LaTina Jones finished third in the 200m, with a time of 25.77. Daneisha Curry placed just outside the top five in the 100m as she ran a 12.35. In the 1500m, Halima Chepkwony placed fifth at 5:24.77.

On the men’s side, Hassan Chepkwony finished second in the 5000m, with a time of 15:38.45, while teammates Noah Rugut (16:29.57) and Aaron Koech (16:34.97) placed fourth and fifth, respectively, in the event.

Alcorn State’s Bralon Robinson took second in the 100m with a time of 10.48, and Jackson State’s Jailen Bell won the 200m dash with a time of 21.82. Also for Jackson State, Azariah Foster (50.03) finished second in the 400m dash as well as the 110m hurdles (13.95), and Vincent Langat (4:14.82) was third in the 1500m run.

JSU’s 4x100m relay was tops in the field with a time of 41.01.

In field events, Alcorn State’s Aaron Worrell took second in the long jump with a leap of 7.28m. Southern’s Skyler Prol (13.14m) finished third in the men’s shot put, and Jeremy Bass (46.40m) won the hammer throw while fellow Jaguar Charles Clark was second.

Also on the women’s side, Alcorn’s Euricka Hardy (11.74) beat out Southern’s Nia Williams (11.89) to win the 100m dash. Terralicia Mercadel (57.10) won the 400m dash for Southern, and Alcorn’s Jessica Ransom was second.

The Lady Braves continued their strong outing as Tymesha Nabors (1:05.30) won the 400m hurdles, and the 4x100m relay team (46.33) won its event as well. Southern’s Vashti Hannah won the long jump (5.48m), and Faith Estelle (52.10m) was second in the hammer throw.
