During the Southern Mississippi Invitational, Davis collected two top-3 showings in individual competion. The freshman finished third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.56 seconds -- just over a tenth off his personal-best mark -- and followed that up by setting a new personal best in the 400-meter dash. Davis ran a 48.65-second time to claim third place in that event as well. Additionally, he helped the Delta Devils' 4x400-meter relay team to a sixth-place result thanks to a time of 3:27.25.

Bookman set a new personal-best in the 400-meter hurdles during the Home Depot Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at the University of Texas this past weekend. Bookman finished second with a time of 56.78 seconds, which is not only the best time among SWAC performance lists, but is also the second-fastest time in the nation behind LSU's Kymber Payne. Bookman was also a part of PVAMU's 4x400-meter relay team that won at the Texas State Bobcat Invitational with a time of 3:42.00, which is the top-ranked time in the event among conference teams.

Kemp finished second in the shot put event during the Pepsi Florida Relays at the University of Florida this past weekend, clearing 16.85m (55-03.50 feet) in the event. The mark is just off Kemp's personal best in the discipline. Kemp, who sits atop SWAC performance lists in the shot put and discus throw events, has the best distance in the shot put event by more than four feet and has finished top 10 in the event in every meet he's competed in thus far during the outdoor season.
