•Southern can clinch a top-4 seed -- and with it, a home game during the first round of the SWAC Tournament with a win OR a Jackson State loss.

•The SWAC has three teams ranked in the top 12 in steals per game. Jackson State is third in the country at 13.2 per game, and Alcorn and Grambling are tied for 11th most steals in the country per game at 12.0.

• Prairie View has surged to the No. 4 standing in the league after winning five of their last seven games. This Saturday the Lady Panthers look to hold on to that spot versus Arkansas-Pine Bluff, a team they have defeated in eight of the last 10 meetings between the squads.

•February is typically Grambling State's time to shine, as the team is 10-1 in games played during February since Freddie Murray took over as head coach.

• The magic number for Texas Southern's defense is 60m as the Lady Tigers are 11-0 this season when holding their opponents under 60 points.

• Texas Southern's Joyce Kennerson -- who recently won her third player of the week honor this season -- continues to climb up her school's all-time scoring ranks. Having moved to third all-time after cracking the 1,400-point benchmark, she is now chasing Keena Williams’ 1,583 points scored from 1983 through 1987. If Kennerson surpasses Williams, she will become the school’s all-time NCAA-era scoring leader.

• After posting a career-best 16 boards in back-to-back games, Alcorn's Miracle Rushing has taken over the league lead in rebounding per game (9.1). Should she hold this average, it would be the second-highest rebounding average by a Lady Brave this decade (Haynes, 9.5 in 2015-16).
