Women's Basketball Player of the Week: November 21
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Prairie View A&M guard Shala Dobbins has been recognized by the Southwestern Athletic Conference as Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her outstanding performances in contests played from Nov. 14-20.

Dobbins scored a career-high 36 points on 13-of-25 shooting during the Lady Panthers' 116-73 win over Arlington Baptist on Nov. 14. She also went 10-of-12 from the charity stripe and hauled in eight boards while making three steals and dishing out three assists. She followed those efforts with a 19-point, seven-rebound, four-steal outing against Bethune-Cookman on Nov. 20, albeit in a losing effort (77-52).
For the week, Dobbins made 51.4 percent of her shots (19-of-37) and was 17-of-21 from the foul line, good for 81 percent. She averaged 27.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game. The junior guard currently leads the SWAC in scoring at 24.7 points per game.
