PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas - The Prairie View A&M baseball team lost to Abilene Christian 16-0 Wednesday afternoon at Tankersley Field.
The Panthers managed just three hits as Corbin Jamison, Kaylor Lewis, and Daniel Lingua had singles for PVAMU, which returns to action at home Friday at 3 p.m. vs. Grambling State in the first of a three-game SWAC Western Division series

UAB 6 Alabama A&M 3
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama A&M fell 6-3 to UAB on TWednesday night.
The Bulldogs fell behing early, trailing 1-0 after one.
AAMU tied the score in the third, when Raymond Santiago hit a RBI double to allow a run to score and tie the score at 1-1.
AAMU took the lead in the top of the fifth. Dalton Mitchel and Carson McGregory both walked with the bases loaded to give the Bulldogs two runs and make the score 3-2.
UAB answered in the bottom of the inning with three runs, making the score 4-3. The Blazers added two runs in the seventh, to take the three run victory over AAMU.
Nicholls 14 Arkansas Pine Bluff 1
THIBODAUX, La. – Arkansas Pine Bluff fell 14-1 to Nicholls on Wednesday.
The Golden Lion were outmatched from the start, trailing 3-0 after two. Nicholls scored four runs in the third to make the score 7-0.
UAPB scored its lone run in the fourth when Lac Colombo scored hit an RBI single.
The Golden Lions were unable to generate more offense, resulting in the loss.
Mississippi State 5 Southern 0
STARKVILLE, Miss. – Southern was shutout by Mississippi State, 5-0 on Wednesday evening.
The Jaguars had no answer for the Bulldogs on this night. SUBR fell behind 1-0 after the fourth inning.
MSU scored four runs late, in the eighth to take the 5-0 shutout.
The Jaguars generated just five hits in the loss.
Tougaloo 3 Jackson State 1
JACKSON, Miss. – Jackson State was not able to stage a ninth inning comeback, as the Tigers fell to Tougaloo, 3-1 on Wednesday night.
The Tigers fell behind in the first inning, as Tougaloo scored one run, to make the score 1-0.
The game remained 1-0 until the seventh, when Tougaloo tacked on another run to make the score 2-0.
Tougaloo scored an additional run in the top of the ninth, to make the score 3-0, and forcing the Tigers to have a ninth inning comeback.
The Tigers attempted to comeback. With two outs, Rual Hernandez knocked in a inside the park home run, to make the score 3-1. However, that would be the only run JKST scored in the inning, resulting in the 3-1 loss.
The Tigers totaled just four hits in the defeat with four different players registering a hit.
