- October 20 marks the start of the second #SWACVB roundup of the season, when Alabama State hosts every team in the league as East meets West once again. The roundup will featured 25 matches in three days.

- Jackson State’s Sapphire Simpson put together what is statistically, the most productive outing by a SWAC setter this season with 51 assists in a win over Mississippi Valley State. The reigning Setter of the Week

- Alabama State’s Briana Dorsey boasts a .385 hitting percentage, good for a top 35 national ranking among NCAA statistics.

- Texas Southern’s defense against opponent attacks has been one of the best in the country. The Lady Tigers have allowed just a .155 clip in opponent hitting percentage, which is the 16th-best figure in the nation.

- Ni’yesha Brown currently leads the SWAC in kills with 296. The senior is currently on pace for more than 400 kills, which would be the second-most in a single season by an Alabama State player since Maya Bell put down 552 in 2011. Should Brown continue her current pace, it would give her the most productive two-year stretch by a Lady Hornet from a total kills perspective.

- Mississippi Valley State’s Kalin Barnes is a member of the 200/200 club, having notched 232 digs and 201 kills this season. A slight uptick in her kills per match would put her on pace to join the 300/300 club.

- The Lady Hornets hold the nation’s fourth-longest active win streak in conference play (30).
