- Alcorn State has already equaled its win total from last season (2).

- Briana Dorsey of Alabama State has established herself as one of the most efficient two-way players in the country. In addition to ranking in the top 25 in the nation when in comes to total blocks, Dorsey has committed just 29 attack errors compared to 131 kills, which is the 12th-lowest error figure in America among players with at least 100 kills.

- Speaking of two-way players: Mississippi Valley State’s Kalin Barnes is the only player in the SWAC that leads her team in kills (111) and digs (124). Barnes joins Alabama State’s Ni’yesha Brown as the only athletes in the conference that have notched at least 100 kills and 100 digs so far this season.
