North Alabama 3, Alcorn State 0 (25-6, 25-8, 25-9)
FLORENCE, Ala. - Alcorn State (0-13) fell to North Alabama in straight sets Tuesday night.
The Lady Braves were never able to get on track against UNA, who began set one with a 12-1 run en route to a set one win. Alcorn stayed closer early in set two, but after a Singryd Valadares kill got Alcorn within 7-5, the Lady Braves offense went virtually silent. North Alabama started set three with a 16-1 run and cruised from there.
Valadares led Alcorn with four kills. Kayla Anderson, Fiapaipai Iosia and Ashley Samuels each posted three kills.
Grambling State 3, Jarvis Christian 0 (25-9, 25-14, 25-18)

Nicholls State 3, Mississippi Valley State 0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-14)
THIBODAUX, La. - Mississippi Valley State dropped a three-set affair at Nicholls State Tuesday night, falling to 1-9 on the season.
Kalin Barnes smacked down 11 kills to lead MVSU. Reigning SWAC Setter of the Week Jaime Polk had a double-double with 24 assists and 12 digs. Nadia Crawford posted 24 digs, and Taylor Selfridge had 10 digs and five kills.
The Devilettes had a sluggish opening to the match, allowing Nicholls to get out to a 5-1 start. Mississippi Valley regrouped, as a Barnes kill brought the contest within 8-7. However, an 8-2 Lady Colonels run derailed Valley's comeback attempt in set one. After allowing four straight points to open the second, Valley was forced to play catch up the rest of the way. The Devilettes managed to tie things up at 21 after a service ace from Joilyn Azore, and took a 23-22 lead but the Colonels stole it late and the Devilettes were unable to provide enough resistance in the final frame.
Louisiana Tech 3, Jackson State 0 (25-14, 25-23, 25-10)
JACKSON, Miss. - Jackson State was limited to a .057 attack percentage in a three-set loss to Louisiana Tech Tuesday night.
Tielar Richards led JSU with seven kills, and Camry Dabney added five. Sapphire Simpson posted 21 helpers, and Tyler Moorer had nine digs.
The Lady Tigers (1-10) battled the Lady Techsters to a 6-6 tie in set one before La. Tech pulled ahead with a 6-1 run that ultimately snuffed out JSU's ability to threaten the rest of the way. Neither side could gain much separation from the other in set two, as the frame featured 11 ties and seven lead changes -- during which neither side led by more than two.
In the end, Jackson State's attack came up just short and a Lady Tigers service error sealed the set for the Lady Techsters, who cruised to a set three win.
McNeese State 3, Prairie View A&M 0 (25-22, 26-24, 25-14)
PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas - Despite 14 kills from Taylor Goudeau, Prairie View A&M fell in its home opener against a competitive McNeese St. Tuesday in three sets.
Christen Augustine had 11 digs while Asena Tapaevalu had 10 digs to end the game. The Lady Panthers stayed in the game with their defense having seven blocks. Erica Jimenez led the team with 19 assists, not too far from her was Mykaeli Franklin with 14 assists.

McNeese swung momentum in its favor, getting the score to 22-14, but Prairie View A&M peeled off an 8-1 run -- highlighted by four Goudeau kills -- to make set one 23-22 but McNeese outlasted the Lady Panthers down the stretch.
Set two was a near mirror of set one, as PVAMU fell behind 12-3 and was forced to play catchup. Again, the Lady Panthers were up to the task, tying it at 22-22 and 24-24 before the Cowgirls again stole it late. The Lady Panthers were unable to overcome a slow start to set three, as McNeese's 11-3 advantage held firm the rest of the way.
