Play at both Southern University and Highland Park was not completed and will resume at 8 a.m. on Saturday where the schedule left off.

Matches at both Independence Park and Forest Park completed play through the originally scheduled 9 a.m. matches with Forest Park completing the originally scheduled 2 p.m. matches as well.

Led by No. 1 singles player Tyler Smith, the Jackson State women swept Mississippi Valley State 4-0 at Independence Park Tennis Center while Alabama A&M was able to defeat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 4-0 at Forest Park.

On the men’s side, Jackson State beat Mississippi Valley State 4-0 while Alabama A&M outlasted Arkansas-Pine Bluff 4-2.
