Golf Recaps: Feb. 26-28
MOBILE, Ala. – The Alcorn State Braves and the Jackson State Tigers both participated in the Badger Invitational in Mobile, Ala, which concluded play on Feb. 28.
The Braves would finish the team portion of play in fifth place. Alcorn State would finish at 43 over par (908) in the three day event. The Tigers would finish the team portion of play in 11th place, going 149 over par as a team for the three days.
On the individual side, Daniel Racioppa finished the tournament T9, after rounds of 76, 74 and 73 for a score of 7 over for the event.
Aaron Douglas would be the highest finisher for Jackson State. Douglas fired rounds of 76 79 and 74 to finish at 13 over for the tournament.
MOBILE, Ala. – Alcorn State and Jackson State finished in sixth and seventh place in the team portion of the Badger Invitational that concluded on Feb. 28. Jackson State, who finished in sixth, would finish the event at 210 over par as a team, while the Braves would finish the event at 323 over par.
Tasita Garcia of Jackson State finished the tournament inside the top 20, in T17. Garcia would finish the tournament at 33 over after rounds of 87, 79 and 85.
Quinn Meyer of Alcorn State finished in 19th place overall. Meyer would shoot rounds of 87, 89 and 95 to finish the event at 35 over.
