North Texas 11, Mississippi Valley State 0 (F/5)
ITTA BENA, Miss. - Mississippi Valley State (7-23) was held without a hit during an 11-0 setback in non-conference action versus North Texas Saturday afternoon.
The Devilettes were also plagued by miscues, committing six errors. The Mean Green took charge early on, scoring five runs in the first inning and cruising from there. North Texas put up three runs in the second and another in the third, before capping the scoring with two runs in the fifth.
Grace Blagg (2-for-3), Hanna Rebar (1-for-1, 2B) and Nicole Ochotnicki (1-for-3) each accounted for two RBI each. Kourtney Williams also had a pair of hits. Hope Trautwein struck out 10 in 5.0 innings, issuing just one walk.
Chandler Ellis took the loss, going just one inning and allowing six runs on five hits.
