Middle Tennessee 11, Alabama A&M 3 (F/5)

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Alabama A&M dropped an 11-3 decision to Middle Tennessee Tuesday afternoon.

Tamia-Lee Barbadillo led off the game for Alabama A&M with a solo shot to right, but the Blue Raiders responded with two runs in the bottom of the first. The Lady Bulldogs pulled within one after scoring on a throwing error from behind the plate, but Middle Tennessee pushed its lead to 5-2 in the bottom of the second.

Tiana Sanders slapped a RBI double in the third, but that was all the offense the Lady Bulldogs would generate.

Rachel Sanders took the loss, allowing 12 hits and nine runs (five earned) in 4.0 innings.

Precious Birdsong went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and three RBI, including a two-run homer in the second inning.
