UT Martin 2 Jackson State 1

JACKSON, Miss. – Jackson State fell 2-1 to UT Martin on Wednesday, in what was a close affair in Jackson, Miss.

The game was scoreless for much of the first half.  In the 29th minute, Ariel Vinson scored her first of the season to give the Lady Tigers the 1-0 lead.

JKST held UT Martin at bay for the remainder of the first half to maintain its one-goal advantage.

Jackson State kept its lead until the 72nd minute.  UT Martin tied the score on a goal by Danae Kaldaridou, to make the score 1-1.

Just nine minutes later, UT Martin took the lead on a goal by Amy McGivern, which made the score 2-1.  The Lady Tigers could not tie the score to force overtime, resulting in the loss.

The Lady Tigers were paced by Vinson, who scored on her only shot of the contest.  Goalkeeper Rachyl Robles made 15 saves in the loss.
