• Mississipi Valley State was the only SWAC school to secure a win on opening weekend. The Devilettes defeated Nicholls 1-0 on Sunday.

• Southern and Jackson State both rank inside the top 5 nationally in saves per game after opening weekend. The Tigers rank second with 14.50 and the Jaguars rank third with 14.00

• Faith Toennies of Jackson State currently has the highest total of saves in a Division I soccer contest this season. Toennies stopped 16 shots in a Jackson State's opening game of the season.

• Texas Southern goalkeeper Alexis Robles is one win shy of the career record for Texas Southern, Robles has 13 career victories and needs just one win to tie the career win total for TSU and two to surpass it.
