The Alabama A&M men's and women's track teams participated in the War Eagle Invitational hosted by Auburn University on Saturday.

Hurdler Donte McDaniel placed fourth in the 100m event with a time of 14:46.

Bulldog rival, Alabama State also competed in the War Eagle Invitational. The Hornets grabbed several top-ten finishes at the meet, including Isiah Golson's eighth place finish in the high jump (6'-03.50). Byron Kearney also added a ninth place finish in the triple jump with a best jump of 13.31m (43'-08.00).

Vincent Butler continued the Bulldogs notable performances with a ninth place finish in the 400 meter run (48.48).

The Jackson State men's track and field team participated in the Southeastern Lions Invitational over the 19th and 20th.

Runner Antoine Guice won the 400 meter dash with a time of 47.97, and BJ Lee finished second in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.51. Lee also finished sixth in the 200 meters with a time of 21.82. Jamie McIntosh crossed fifth place in the 400 meters with a time of 48.75 and Ibahim Hinds came in fifth place in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:09.76.


Geoffrey Brady and Durante Ponder rounded out the weekend with impressive performances in the hurdle events and second place finishes. Brady ran the 110 meters with a time of 14.45, while Ponder completed the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 54.91. Both runners finished second place in their events.

Mississippi Valley State's men's track & field team jumped off to a great start at the Mississippi Invitational.

Daniel Kibet placed second in the 300 meter steeplechase, while Jose Serrano finished third, Victor Kiplagat took fourth, and David Pulliam earned the eighth spot.


The men's 4x100 team (David White, Jatarrius Harris, Robert Wilson and Quinton Weeks) came in sixth with a time of 41.88.

In 200 Meter Dash action, Quinton Weeks and David White both clocked a time of 21.67, tying them for 12th place.
