Barney, Tomlinson Earn Week Five Honors

Tambryia Barney of Mississippi Valley State wins Runner of the Week in week five following her participation in the Ole' Miss Open Invitational. Barney recorded three top-ten finishes during the fifteen-team meet. The sophomore runner placed sixth in the 200m with a time of 24.84 and eighth in the triple jump with a throw of 38-11.50". Barney rounded out the weekend, finishing fifth in the 4x400 (47.2).
Prairie View Panther Charmaine Tomlinson takes weekly honors as Field Athlete of the Week after an impressive performance at the Texas Invitational. Tomlinson threw a personal best in the javelin, recording a mark of 119-10" and winning the event.
