CABOT, Ark. - The Lady Panther bowling team returned to the lanes after a two-month hiatus as they finished 11th overall at the Mid-Winter Classic at All Fam Bowling in Cabot, Ark.

LeJewlia Lewis was Prairie View’s top bowler as she totaled 910 pins over a five-game span.  Kristina Sadler had the highest game for the Lady Panthers with a score of 191 as the team overcame a rough start to begin the tourney.

“This was a difficult tournament for a lot of reasons,” said head coach Glenn White.  “Eleven of the top 15 teams in the country were there with one through seven represented.  We also lost a player on the first day due to an injury which meant we couldn’t sub.  We were in games but couldn’t finish games but by the third day of competition, we came together and finished undefeated which moved us up three spots in the standings.”

The Lady Panthers return to action as they’ll participate at the SWAC West Roundup in Baton Rouge, La. this weekend.
