Alabama A&M guard Whiquitta Tobar and Grambling State guard Cierra Ceazer have been named SWAC Women's Basketball Co-Players of the Week. It's Tobar's second straight honor and the first of the season for Ceazer.

Tobar led A&M to a pair of wins over two of the top teams in the league, Southern and Alcorn State. Against Southern, the senior from Blytheville, Ark. scored 12 points, grabbed eight rebounds, had five assists and a blocked shot. She upped the ante against Alcorn, scoring 23 points on 6-of-16 fieldgoals and 10-of-13 freethrows. For the weekend, Tobar averaged 17.5 points and five rebounds per contest.

Ceazer had 18 points and six rebounds in the Lady Tigers' only game of the weekend, a win over Jackson State. The freshman from Topeka, Kansas was efficient from the field, hitting 7-of-11 shots, including 3-of-4 from downtown. She also made 1-of-2 freethrows.
