Jackson State 60, Fisk 53

Jackson, MS – Maurice Rivers scored 16 points and grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds while Jeremiah Bozeman added 14 points as the Tigers (3-7) took a seven-point advantage into halftime before trading baskets in the second half to defeat the visiting Bulldogs (7-4) on Monday night. 


Fisk trimmed the deficit to one with 8:03 remaining in the game, but Jackson State responded with a key 13-1 run that nearly ran the length of the time left.  Layups by Bozeman, Darius Austin, a free throw by Rivers, a pair of 3-pointers by Jordan Berry and two free throws by Bozeman. 


Tyran Davis had 11 points and RJ Scott had 10 points and six rebounds for Fisk. 


Oregon 74, Texas Southern 68

Eugene, OR – The Tigers trailed 65-64 with 3:32 remaining in the game, but that’s as close as they would get as the Ducks outscored Texas Southern 9-4 in the closing minutes to survive. 


Four players scored in double digits in scoring for the Tigers (0-9) including Donte Clark (17), Demontrae Jefferson (16), Derrick Bruce (12), and Lamont Walker (10). 


Six players scored in double figures for the Ducks in Payton Pritchard (16), Kenny Wooten (13), Paul White (11), Victor Bailey Jr. (11), Mikyle McIntosh (10) and Troy Brown (10). 


DePaul 83, Alabama A&M 59

Chicago, Ill. – De’Ederick Petty scored a team-high 21 points and had four rebounds and three assists and Arthur Johnson added 13 points, but the Bulldogs (0-9) fell short on the road against the Blue Demons (6-4). 


DePaul took a 48-22 lead by the break and shot 53 percent from the field as four players reached double digits in scoring lead by Max Strus who scored 14 points.
