Louisiana-Monroe 65, Jackson State 52
MONROE, La. – Three Tigers finished in double digits for scoring, but it wasn’t enough as Jackson State fell in a nonconference road contest against Louisiana-Monroe at the Fant-Ewing Coliseum on Tuesday night.
Paris Collins had 11 points, eight rebounds, three assists and three steals and Jeremiah Jefferson scored 11 points while Maurice Rivers added 10 points for the Tigers (2-5).
Sam McDaniel led the Warhawks (3-3) with 16 points, seven assists, five rebounds, three steals, a block and Travis Munnings added 14 points and eight rebounds.
ULM led 38-31 at the half as they shot 50 percent from the floor collectively as a team.
Conversely, JSU made just 31 percent of their attempts, but stayed close by making 10-of-24 from 3-point range.
