Valley Draws Hilltoppers in First Four Matchup
Fresh off a SWAC Tournament victory Saturday, Mississippi Valley State today found out the Delta Devils will face Western Kentucky in the First Four round of the NCAA Tournament on Tuesday in Dayton, Ohio.
Tuesday's game will be played live on TruTV beginning at 5:30 p.m. CT.
The Hilltoppers are the champions of the Sun Belt Conference and enter the tournament with a 15-18 overall record.
The Delta Devils have won 20 of their last 21 games and are a game away from tying a school record of 22 victories in a season. MVSU enters the tournament with a 21-12 overall record after sweeping through the SWAC Tournament with victories over Jackson State, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, and Texas Southern.
The winner of the MVSU / WKU game will be placed as the #16 seed in the South Region and will face top-seeded Kentucky on Thursday in Louisville, Ky.
