Tournament Bracket

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Alabama A&M, Mississippi Valley State, Jackson State and Prairie View A&M all advanced to the semifinals of the SWAC Volleyball Tournament Friday on the campus of Alabama State University.

Alabama A&M went undefeated on the day, posting a pair of 3-0 wins against Texas Southern and MVSU. Jackson State was also undefeated after blanking Southern and Prairie View A&M. The Devilettes and Panthers each played three matches and advanced to the semifinals after dropping to the loser's bracket. 

Southern, Alabama State, Texas Southern and Arkansas-Pine Bluff were all eliminated during quarterfinal action on Friday.

Alabama A&M (14-10) and Mississippi Valley State (23-10) will play in a 9 a.m. semifinal Saturday morning at Lockhart Gym. Jackson State (27-11) faces off with Prairie View A&M (13-18) in the other semifinal at Dunn-Oliver Acadome. The SWAC Volleyball Championship will commence at the Dunn-Oliver Acadome at 3 p.m. Saturday. The Championship will be broadcast tape delayed on ESPNU on Sunday, Nov. 21 at 9 p.m. Fans can follow live stats for each match at www.swac.org.
