The Rebels jumped out early on Southern, winning the doubles point with 8-1 wins at No. 2 and 3 doubles.
In singles, Vivian Vlaar (Ole Miss) def Camara Davis, at No. 6 singles. Then, Abby Guthrie and Kristi Boxx closed out the match with straight sets wins. Guthrie downed Morgan Taylor 6-0, 6-2 on court five and then Boxx finished off Carlista Mohammed 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1.
