Tennis Season is Officially Underway in the SWAC

The seal was officially opened on the 2012 tennis season as the Prairie View men's team traveled to Houston to play No. 39 Rice University. It was a tough start for the Panthers who fell to the Owls 7-0 at the Jake Hess Tennis Courts on Saturday.
The first of two SWAC Tennis Round-ups is right around the corner. The East Round-up, hosted by Jackson State University, will take place Feb. 24-25. Then, Southern University will host the West Round-up in Baton Rouge March 30-31. The 2012 SWAC Tennis Championships are slated for April 20-22 in Alexandria, La.
