2011 SWAC Men's Golf Tournament -- Day 2 (of 3) Results Get Acrobat Reader

Alexandria, La. - Jackson State maintained command of the 2011 SWAC Men's Golf Tournament despite dropping five strokes to second place Alabama State in Tuesday's second round at Links on the Bayou Golf Course. The Tigers lead the Hornets by 12 strokes heading into Wednesday's final round.

JSU's Clay Myers, who shot a 6-under-par 66 on Monday, also gave up some shots, but maintained his lead over the field after carding a 78 in round two. Alabama State's John Montgomery closed to within two strokes with the best performance of the day, a 1-over-par 73. Players were hampered all day by winds that gusted as high as 40 mph.
