UAPB to Face Oklahoma State in NCAA Tournament
Southwestern Athletic Conference women's soccer champions Arkansas-Pine Bluff will be heading to the Sooner State to take on Oklahoma State on Friday at 7 p.m. The two teams will battle it out at the Cowgirl Soccer Compex in Stillwater, Okla.
Oklahoma State (19-1) received an at-large bid as the runners-up in the Big 12. The Cowgirls were unbeaten going in the conference tournament. They were upended by Texas A&M in the finals.
Meanwhile, the Lady Golden Lions are on a roll going into the tournament having won 13 straight and gone unbeaten with one tie in their last 16 games. UAPB's last loss was a 2-1 setback to Southern Mississippi on Sept. 11. Since then, UAPB has a 4-4 tie versus Arkansas State and 15 wins in which they have outscored opponents 40-3 and had 12 shutouts.
