BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Vincent Langat of Jackson State and Scolasticah Kemi of Mississippi Valley State have been named the SWAC runners of the week for their performances in competition this past weekend.

Men’s Runner of the Week

Vincent Langat – Jackson State

Langat won the Watson Ford Invite, an 8k event this past weekend with a time of 25 minutes and 38 seconds. 

Women’s Runner of the Week

Scolasticak Kemi – Mississippi Valley State

Kemi finished in first place in the women’s portion of the Watson Ford Invite, finishing with a time of 23:25.60.
