Alabama State 3, Jackson State 0 (25-16,25-17,25-18)
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - For the second consecutive season, Alabama State finished the regular season undefeated with a 3-0 victory over Jackson State in the final home match of the season Monday night.
The win stretched the winning streak for Alabama State in conference play to 39 dating back to the 2015 championship game against Jackson State. They are also in the midst of a nine-match winning streak. Krysta Medearis led Alabama State (25-9, 18-0 SWAC) with 11 kills on 21 total attempts, with just four errors. She finished the night hitting .333 in the victory. Candace Martin finished the night with 10 kills on 13 total attacks with just two errors, hitting .615 – a career high.
Ni’yesha Brown finished with eight kills and six digs in her final home match of the season. Briana Dorsey finished the night with six kills, four digs and three blocks. Kori Kutsch led Alabama State with 22 assists, while Justus Tuiolosega added 14 in her final home match. Brittany Brown led the Lady Hornets with 15 digs, while Bayle’ Bennett added 11. The Lady Hornets finished the night hitting .268 with 41 kills; while holding Jackson State (7-25, 6-11 SWAC) to a .168 hitting percentage and 29 kills.
Alexandra Burney led Jackson State with nine kills as no Tiger reached double figure kills.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff 3, Prairie View A&M 1 (17-25,25-14,28-26,25-23)
PINE BLUFF, Ark. - Arkansas-Pine Bluff downed Prairie View A&M in four sets during a match that saw UAPB's Britney Sahlmann dish out a new SWAC single-match high in assists (53) on Monday night.
Additionally, Lisa Casimie put down 21 kills for the Lady Lions (11-19, 10-7 SWAC), who took one step closer to wrapping up the No. 4 seed in the SWAC Volleyball Tournament. Kendalle Howard made 19 kills for UAPB, and Taylor Sheppy added 10. Jade Sanlin picked up 25 digs.
Prairie View A&M (7-18, 7-11) can do no better than the No. 7 seed in the SWAC Volleyball Tournament, but the Lady Panthers are assured a spot in the field regardless. Larissa Martinez led PVAMU with 19 kills, and Taylor Goudeau added 11. Erica Jimenez dished out 33 assists and added five digs. Christen Augustine posted 20 digs.
Mississippi Valley State 3, Alcorn State 0 (25-17,25-20,25-19)
ITTA BENA, Miss. - Mississippi Valley State (8-25, 5-12 SWAC) kept its slim tournament hopes alive with a sweep of Alcorn State (3-39, 0-18) Monday night.
Kalin Barnes led the Devilettes with 18 kills and 14 digs. With the performance, Barnes became the first SWAC player to record 300 kills and 300 digs this season. She was one of five MVSU players with at least 10 digs, with Taylor Selfridge posting a team-best 16 digs to go with seven kills. Terrea Sims posted 15 digs, Jessica Bell added 13 digs, and Jaime Polk posted a double-double with 23 assists and 12 digs.
Singryd Valadares led Alcorn with seven kills. Pai Iosia posted nine digs and five kills for the Lady Braves. Majest Ferguson posted 26 assists and eight digs. Kaylyn Latin led all Alcorn players with 13 digs.
