MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Two-time defending Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) champion, Alabama State will travel to the University of South Carolina Friday in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Lady Hornets earned their second consecutive bid to the field of 64 and will open with the number one seeded and third-ranked Gamecocks at 6 pm in Columbia. The match can be seen on SEC Network+, and tickets go on sale Tuesday at 10 am (est).

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students and child (17 and under). Fans can call 803-777-4274 to order and print tickets online. There is a $5 handling fee for those who buy tickets online. Fans can purchase tickets the day of the game at the gate, where cash will only be accepted.

The two teams met last season, with the Gamecocks coming away with a 7-0 victory over Alabama State in the Lady Hornets first appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

Alabama State earned the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament from the conference with three wins last weekend, including advancing twice on penalty kicks. Meanwhile, South Carolina enters the tournament after dropping their opening round match in the SEC Tournament to Arkansas – ending a 14-match unbeaten streak.

The complete 64-team field can be found on NCAA.com.
