Texas Southern 3,  Arkansas-Pine Bluff 0 (25-14, 25-11, 25-11)

HOUSTON, Texas - The Texas Southern downed Arkansas-Pine Bluff in straight sets on the final night of regular season action behind 11 kills each from Kali Fluke and Audriana Carson.

Carson added seven digs to her line, while Fluke hit .375 and tallied six digs.
The Lady Tigers used fast starts to put the contest away, using starts of 13-3 (set one), 16-4 (set two) and 20-8 (set three) to put the Lions away.

Lauren Corby and Natalie Gibbs each posted five kills for UAPB.
TXSO enteres the tournament as the No. 2 seed, to face No. 7 seed and host Jackson State. Despite the loss, UAPB claimed the No. 5 seed over Prairie View A&M thanks to a better division record.

Prairie View A&M 3, Grambling State 0 (25-20, 27-25, 25-18)

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas - Taylor Goudeau put up a game high of 15 kills as Prairie View A&M swept Grambling State. 
The first set was a back and forth contest as both teams were tied at 19.  PVAMU would go on a 6-1 run to claim the set.
The second set began much like the first with both teams going back-and-forth and neither team being able to take complete control. There was a final tie at 25 and an attack error by GSU to close out with a 27-25 victory in favor of the Lady Panthers.
PV opened the third set hot as the Lady Panthers controlled the pace holding a 9-5 lead.  PVAMU outscored the Tigers 10-8 the rest of the way.  Back-to-back kills by the Lady Panthers iced the set at 25-18 and the match for Prairie View A&M. Kira Kirkham placed the ball 44 times for the Lady Panthers, and Larissa Martinez added 13 kills in the win.

Despite the victory, PVAMU will head into tournament play as the 6-seed to pla 3-seed Southern. Grambling State, who was led by Chasity Nicks with nine kills, six digs, and four blocks, will take on top-seeded Alabama State.

Southern 3, Alabama A&M 1 (22-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-21)

In a contest to determine the No. 3 seed for the SWAC Volleyball Tournament, Southern got a combined 25 kills from Paige Hall (13) and Arabella Hall (12) as the Jaguars downed Alabama A&M in four sets.

AAMU went ahead early after using a 5-0 run to overcome a 20-19 deficit. Despite a late rush by the Jaguars, AAMU managed to hold on to the set.

Southern tied the match in the second set, which was highlighted by the Jaguars' having an answer every time AAMU got within striking distance. After a similar performance in set three put SUBR ahead 2-1, AAMU appeared as if it would force a fifth set after building a 20-15 lead. At that point, the Jaguars closed the match on a 10-1 run sparked by two A. Hall kills.

Ashundria McNeal posted 17 kills. AAMU will face 5-seed Arkansas-Pine Bluff, while Southern begins its tournament play with 6-seeded Prairie View.

Alabama State 3, Alcorn State 0 (25-12, 25-7, 26-24)

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Briana Dorsey put down 16 kills at a ,750 attack percentage as Alabama State completed an undefeated conference slate with a straight-set win over Alcorn State.

The top-seeded Hornets largely controlled the game from the jump, winning set one by double-digits and claiming set two handily. Alcorn State showed life in the third set, leading for the majority of it and eventually putting up a 20-16 lead.

The Hornets then stormed back, using an 8-4 run that was keyed by three kills and a block from Dorsey, ultimately prevailing.

Barbara Garrett and Dnada Smith posted four kills each for ALCN. Justus Tuiolosega posted a double-double with 15 assists and 10 digs for Alabama State, who will face No. 8 seed Grambling in round one of the SWAC Volleyball Tournament.
