Jacobs repeated as women’s runner of the week after she finished in third place Friday at the Watson Ford Invite at Choctaw Trails, hosted by Mississippi College. Her 26:06.62 mark in the 6K led the Lady Braves to a second-place team finish among Division I schools, ahead of Southern, Jackson State, Nicholls State and New Orleans. Jacobs has been Alcorn's top finisher at every meet this season. It was the longest race of the season for the Lady Braves as they previously competed in 5K meets. Jacobs is the first Lady Brave to win multiple weekly honors in a single season since Condrea Collins in 2012.
