• The Southwestern Athletic Conference is the only league in FCS that has three teams with four (or more) wins in a row. Jackson State and Alabama State are currently riding a six-game win streak while Alcorn State has won four straight

• The SWAC will continue to recognize the Jackson State-Grambling State game that was scheduled to play on October 19 as a forfeit. In the conference standings, JSU is 7-0 and GSU is currenlty 0-6. Per NCAA Statistics Policies and Guidlines, the forfeit will not be charged to the teams’ overall record

• Jackson State remains the only unbeaten team in conference play with a 7-0 record. Grambling State was the last team to start its conference slate 7-0 during the 2010 slate. GSU is the only team during the championship-game era to finish 9-0 during a nine-game conference schedule in 2005

• With his 202-yard performance against Priaire View A&M, Tommy Gooden becomes the first running back in the SWAC to rush for 200-plus yards in more than one game. In 2010, Grambling State’s Frank Warren rushed for 200 or more yards in three seperate games

• Quarterbacks De’Auntre Smiley (PVAM) and Benjamin Anderson (UAPB) have currenlty recorded some of the longest passing playes from scrimmage in the FCS. Smiley holds the longest with 93 yards  after connecting with Deandr Cooper who holds the longest reception. Anderson is tied for thid with an 86-yard strike

•  Alabama State and Prairie View A&M currently lead the nation in their respective categories. ASU leads the nation in sacks with 38 (4.75 p/g) and PVAMU’s offense has the most first downs in FCS

• Prairie View A&M’s QB Jerry Lovelocke ranks in the top five in the nation for individual game-highs. He ranks second in total offense (541), completions (42) and passing yards (533)

• Arkansas-Pine Bluff linebacker Jer-ryan Harris leads the FCS in total tackles. Jenkins has 97 tackles including with 12.1 per game average. He is also fifth in FCS with 51 solo tackles

• For a third consecutive week, Jackson State, Alabama State, Alcorn State and Prairie View A&M are ranked in all three major Black College Football polls including the Sheridan, HSRN and BTR
