BATON ROUGE, La. - Southern University ended its 2012 regular season with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-16, 25-15) win over Alcorn State on Monday at Cliford Seymour Gym.

SU (4-23) was led by Jacquia Bell's 11 kills. Bell tallied a .550 total attack percentage while finishing the match with five digs and three block assists.

Amber Shelby chipped in 10 kills and Chanda Journet delivered 35 assists. Michelle Williams led the Lady Jaguars with nine digs.

Shaquanda Hollis led ALCN (1-27) with 11 kills and nine digs. Georgia Parsons tacked on 15 assists.

GRAMBLING, La. - Grambling State University capped the Southwestern Athletic Conference volleyball regular season with a 3-0 win over Alcorn State on Tuesday at Memorial Gymnasium.

GSU (3-19) ends its regular season on a three match win streak picking up the sets with scores of 25-15, 25-22, and 25-23)

Dorothy Brown led the Lady Tigers with a double-double recording 15 kills and 15 digs. Kayla Lewis finished with 13 assists and Breonna Loud follwed with 12. Chantel McGill registered 11 digs.

For the ALCN (1-28), Shaquanda Hollis had eight kills and Georgia Parsons dished out a match high of 17 assists. Jaclyn Kuzniar led the Lady Braves back line with 15 digs.
