JACKSON, Miss. - Jackson State University moved its match winning streak to 12 after a 3-0 win over Mississippi Valley State on Friday at the T.B. Ellis Complex.

JSU (14-11, 4-0) added another notch in the win column picking up the Southwestern Athletic Conference eastern-division match with set scores of 25-19, 25-16, and 25-11.

JSU had three players that led the floor in kills , assists and digs. Christine Edwards spearheaded the Lady Tigers with 13 kills with Mikayla Rolle tacking on 10. Jenna Siddiqui finished with 31 assists and Angelica Kelley registered 17 digs.

MVSU (7-10, 1-2) was led by Brychana Williams and April Brown. Williams finished with 10 kills and Brown moved the offense 17 assists. Jane Peterson led the Devilettes with 16 digs.

HOUSTON, Texas - Texas Southern University had five players hit more than 40 percent to pick up a 3-0 decision over Dillard on Friday at the H&PE Arena.

Mona Reed and Robyn Shannon had 13 kills apiece to guide TSU (10-12) to set victories of 25-15, 25-17, 25-18.

The Lady Tigers hit .500 in the first set and .414 in the second. Reed hot .500 from 24 total attacks with Shannon recording .407. Sarah Wooten (.571), Gabrielle Gray (.455) and Whitney Grant (.500) helped TSU finish the match hitting .375.

Wooten led the floor with 35 assists to complement eight digs. Veronica Azubuike had a team high 10 digs.

For DU (3-8), Carolyn Baker had 11 kills and Destinee Higgans recorded 11 digs. Jamara Celistan and Danqi Li each registered seven assists.
