STARKVILLE, MS - Alcorn State's hopes of moving past the first round of the NCAA Tournament were short-lived as Mississippi State defeated the Braves, 4-0.
Mississippi State picked up the doubles point as the duo of Louis Cant/Malte Stroop down Garry Amor/Vitali Vasileuski while Zack White/Ethan Wilkinson knocked off Alexandr Lidzar/Max Tkachenko.
After three hard fought singles matchups, Alcorn State gave up three points as Garry Amor was defeated by Zach White with a score of 6-0, 6-0. The Braves' Alexandr Lidzar dropped his match to Louis Cant, 6-2, 6-0. Max Tkachenko was downed by Ethan Wilkinson by a score of 6-3, 6-2.
