Rojas and DeLeon Tabbed for Weekly Baseball Honors
Alabama State's Leo Rojas and Southern's Jose DeLeon have been selected as SWAC Baseball Players of the Week. Rojas was the Hitter of the Week, while DeLeon earned his second Pitcher of the Week.

Rojas proved to be the difference in the first game of the rivalry series between the Hornets and Alabama A&M. He drove in 6 runs with 2 doubles and the game-winning 3-run triple in the 10th inning for ASU.
For the week, he batted .438 with an .813 slugging percentage. He drove in 11 runs and scored another five.
Pitcher of the Week - Jose DeLeon (Southern) - RHP, 6-2, 210, So., Isabela, P.R.
DeLeon went 7.0 innings without giving up a hit and striking out 9 in earning the victory as Southern defeated Texas Southern. For the week, opponents did not scratch out a hit against the Jaguar ace, and his 9 strikeouts led the league. He finished with a 0.00 ERA and a win in his only appearance of the week.
