Jackson State opened up a 25-shot lead over 2nd place Texas Southern at the midway point of the SWAC Women's Golf Championship at Links on the Bayou in Alexandria, La.

The Tigers were led by the 78 of co-leader Stephanie Robinson. Cammryn Stith sits in third with an 81 on the day, while Erica Payton is alone in 6th with a first round 85.

Prairie View A&M's Shanequa Valentine stands tied for the individual lead with Robinson at 78. The Panthers, however, are in 5th place as a team.

Alabama State's Mia Campbell is four shots off the lead at 82.

Texas Southern was led by Kassandra Rivera's 84.

Jackson State will attempt to close out the team title while the top individuals battle it out for medalist honors as the championship begins its final round on Tuesday morning.
